The Washington DC Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH is proud to present, Adriana Manrique Gutierrez, Multimedia Animator Specialist at the NASA Conceptual Image Lab (CIL). Adriana will be sharing her experience creating multimedia products for some of NASA’s largest missions such as the James Webb Telescope. Originally a character animator, she will also discuss how her workflow has evolved to adopt the demands of each new project which have included cloth, fluid, and particle simulations.
The meeting will be hosted on the Zoom platform. A link to the meeting will be provided 5 minutes prior to the presentation to all those who have responded to the announcement on our MeetUp. The link will also be visible to those who RSVP. Those who do not RSVP to the MeetUp announcement will not receive the link to the meeting.

Biography – Adriana Manrique Gutierrez
Adriana Manrique Gutierrez is a Multimedia Animator Specialist at GSFC’s Conceptual Image Lab (CiLab) and SCAD Animation and Illustration Alumni. As part of the science communication team, Adriana works directly with producers, writers, and scientists to create cutting-edge scientific visuals to explain the work of NASA to the science community, media, and public. Products may be used in presentations to Congress with the aim to approve missions and to procure/maintain funding; also, her work may be used by news media, museums, science centers, educators, NASA’s popular social media streams and international outlets.
